As Australia’s largest city, Sydney is the financial, commercial, and cultural center of Australia. On the CAPA Sydney Program, students learn how Sydney related to the Pacific Rim and in turn the rest of the world through studies both inside and outside of the classroom. The CAPA Sydney Center is located in North Sydney, on the campus of the Australian Catholic University. The Sydney staff provide support as students to adapt to Australian life.

The classes were easy. They were taught by an American teacher. I had class with all of my peers that studied abroad with me from my school. It was just like being in an American classroom. I wish I would have been able to study under an Australian professor or be mixed with students other than the ones that I went with. Yes, it was very worthwhile. I needed an internship for my major so it was great for me. I am just disappointed that our classes weren't in a large university there. I feel that I wasn't exposed to a lot of Australian's because all of my time was at work or with my program friends, so it wasn't like we were going to branch out randomly at the park and talk to people. A student who is open-minded and wants to be challenged and thinking of working abroad. Someone who wants to differentiate themselves from others in their field. Definitely do the CAPA Program! The internship aspect is one of my favorite parts about my time in Australia and I will never, ever forget what I learned, the people I met, and so many memories! view full review
