Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The teaching methods were somewhat different than in American schools and the grading systems certainly were as well. It took some getting used to but once I had adjusted I enjoyed the change quite a bit.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were there to help me every step of the way

* Housing:

I think my housing situation was definitely ideal for any student studying abroad. I did not need to buy sheets, pillows, kitchen supplies or anything else, and I was right on campus - no more than 10 minutes walk from any of my classes! I also enjoyed a lot that there were a lot of local students in my dorm. I enjoyed being able to meet "real" Australians and to be able to go back and visit them whenever I want!

* Food:

I had all my meals included which was awesome. The food wasn't the best I've ever had but it was decent enough. Did not inhibit my experience at all.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The social and non-academic aspects of my program were the highlight of my experience abroad. I had a blast meeting mew friends, playing sports, going to the beach, going on vacation, everything! It was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

* Home Institution Advising:

How well did Manhattan Christian College prepare and support you for your time abroad?

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* If you could do it all over again, would you choose the same program? Yes
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Don't be afraid to try the unexpected! It might be the best thing you ever do.
* What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile? My experience made me fall in love with traveling all over again. I gained so much from it that I am now considering working for a study abroad company myself!
