Review Your Program
|
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I loved every moment. The people were all amazing and everyone I met was so nice. I loved the university because even though it was more the twice the size of my university at home I never felt lost in the crowd. |
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
I never really had to deal with the programs administration. |
| * Housing: |
The internet in my room hardly ever worked and I had problems with the internet people |
| * Food: |
The food was not good and not healthy. They didnt have enough selections and often just put the same food out that had been sitting out all day. Most of the time I went into town on victoria street to eat |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I had lots of fun going into town and traveling. I would recommend on a road trip and renting cars because it is cheaper and a better experience than doing a tour bus. |
|
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
| * Safety: |
I thought they were very good especially with the swine flu outbreak. |
|
* Home Institution Advising:
How well did University of Hartford prepare and support you for your time abroad? |
|
Finances
|
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
| Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Im not sure what I spent month to month but over all I spent around 6,000 dollars over my semester there. |
| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | If you want to take any big trips schedule them at the beginning that way you can budget your money more wisely. |
Language
| Language acquisition improvement? |
I speak english. |
