The program integrates the highly-effective language instruction methods of the Alliance Française with intensive classroom and field experiences provided by AGS. Your mornings in Paris will be devoted to the study of French at the Alliance Française, and you will have the opportunity to place in the level of language instruction appropriate to your skills and background prior to your arrival, via an on-line assessment. Once enrolled at the Alliance Française, you will be able to interact with fellow students of the French language from all over the world.

Afternoon instruction will take place at AGS, and will consist of three-hour seminars, taught in English, which will provide the tools for a comprehensive understanding of French and European governmental institutions, diplomacy, and foreign policy. The program offers a significant field component which takes full advantage of the School's central Paris location, allowing you to participate in a series of field trips and guided tours. These theme-based experiences will reinforce and enhance your classroom knowledge, and provide an opportunity for you to practice your language skills.
