Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Quique and Maria were excellent. I couldn't ask for better program directors. I will really miss them.

* Housing:

I lived with my uncle while in Madrid.

* Food:

they eat a lot of ham and seafood in spain. so be ready.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

* Safety:

* Home Institution Advising:

How well did Trinity University prepare and support you for your time abroad?

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cell phone saldo is expensive and goes quickly! Limit your use to only what is necessary so you dont get stuck without saldo in a situation where you really need it! Also, wait for rebajas to go shopping. they're wonderful.

A Look Back

* If you could do it all over again, would you choose the same program? Yes
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? DO IT! You'll have all the support, guidance, and independence you like depending on the experience you're looking for. Ultimately though, your experience will be what you make of it, regardless of the program you choose.
* What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile? Absolutely. I was sad it had to end. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I developed my Spanish skills infinitely and made some friends for life, both American and Spanish. Because of this I am a more confident and independent person than I was when I left. I hope to live there someday, at least for a little while.
