The contemporary scene inspires the innovative design and marketing of clothing, accessories and fashion lifestyle products for which London is renowned. London is famous for street fashion as much as for the formality and ‘Englishness’ of traditional Savile Row tailoring. It is about breaking rules and surprising, even shocking, as it draws from different cultures and from diverse inspirations to create interesting fashion from high street to designer markets. Paris is the city where couture began and the only city in the world where haute couture is created.

Our fashion lecturers are experienced academics and industry professionals. They teach Styling Fashion and Fashion Trends in a way that enables students to actually experience styling and trend forecasting through hands-on projects, using the rich fashion resources that London and Paris have to offer

• Fashion TRENDS -In Fashion Trends you will look at how trends arise by considering macro business environmental drivers as well as social and cultural influences.
• Styling Fashion - In Styling Fashion you will explore the skills required for this growing speciality in the fashion industry.
• Journalism for fashion -Journalism for Fashion is the basis of fashion advertising copy for media and public relations (PR). You will develop a sound understanding of its role within the contemporary fashion industry. Through workshops and tuition you will expand your creative writing skills, learn about interview techniques and identify job opportunities within the industry.
