|
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The workload was very fair giving us time to explore Ireland and make the most out of our experience. The grading system was also quite similar to ours and the lectures were the same as you would see at any university. Due to the fact that all the students in my class were American the teachers did a wonderful job shaping lectures to fit our own curiosities about Ireland. |
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
The host program did a wonderful job communicating with us and making sure we knew what was going on at all times. We were contacted often and never once felt as though we were on our own. |
| * Housing: |
The housing at UL was absolutely wonderful. A clean and safe place to live. They supplied us with all the essentials that were necessary for our time there. |
| * Food: |
Great food services. |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The field trips provided by AIFS were wonderful and allowed us to truly make the best out of the short amount of time we were in Ireland. |
|
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
| * Safety: |
I felt as though Limerick was a safe place to be. However, we were told extensively what to look out for and to be aware that no place is completely safe. I felt like we were well prepared to go out on our own in different cities and thus making our experience that much better. |

* Home Institution Advising:
How well did University of North Dakota prepare and support you for your time abroad? |
|

|
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

A Look Back
| * If you could do it all over again, would you choose the same program? | Yes |
| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Just do it. Step out of your comfort zone and let yourself experience one of the greatest things provided to college students. |
| * What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile? | Absolutely. I got the opportunity to place myself in a new culture and grow from learning to cope with it. Not to mention, I got to see one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I now plan to change from corporate law to international law. |
