The University of Botswana (UB) was established with help from the “One Man One Beast” campaign, which raised money from the people of Botswana in the form of cash, cattle, grain, eggs and other unique contributions. UB has four campuses: two in the capital city Gaborone, one in Francistown, and another in Maun. It is the leading institution of higher education in the country, and its main campus is located just minutes from central Gaborone.

This experience changed my life. Not only did I meet my possible future husband, but I found my love for travel. I have already began to think about my future after graduation of possibly living in Harare, Zimbabwe and teaching at the International School thre, traveling up Africa through Europe and stopping to live, work, and volunteer in other places along the way for a ... view full review

Studying at the University of Botswana was an incredible eye-opener. I learned a new language, met new people, and gained insight into a culture completely different from the ones I had been familiar with previously. It was unbelievable, from the food, to the music, to the misunderstandings, and more. I cannot imagine having spent a better semester abroad! view full review
