My study abroad experience was the best, and it a lot of ways I think I really got lucky meeting my group of locl friends. They were always so eager to show me around and we all enjoy traveling and driving so we would take drives to all these places. I think by making local friends, I got to go, see and do a lot more things than other study abroad students. I feel like I'v...

My study abroad experience was absolutely worthwhile, I wish I could have done a second semester because I loved it so much. Not only did I have a phenomenal time, I also learned all about those who live in Africa and go to travel and see a new part of the world. I have a much better understanding of community now and feel that I am more comfortable in racially diverse...

Everything beyond interstudy and UCT was awesome. South Africa is wonderful, I'd go back in a heartbeat. However, as for dealing with either of those programs - I could do without that again.

Absolutely worthwhile. My time in Africa had a profound impact on me, but you might have to leave Cape Town for your world to be rocked. Even if you never left Cape Town, though, you could hang out on beaches and in botanical gardens with interesting and smart people in a really amazing city and eat really fabulous food and go to the most gorgeous university in the world...

It changed the types of law school I wanted to apply to and it made me aware of how important it is to be around intellectual black people and what that does to the learning environment.

I loved the intimacy and family-ness of interstudy. I love Africa. And i wouldn't change my experience for the world. It has changed me as a person.

There is no way to describe the experience and do it justice. If you are on the fence about going abroad, just go. Of course it will be worthwhile. When during college will you have another opportunity to see things completely outside of what you have made them to be? I love William and Mary and I love my friends and the community here, but it's a bubble, just like any oth...
