Tunisia, officially the Tunisian Republic , is the northernmost country in Africa. The majority of habitants in Tunisia are Arab or Arabized Berbers, and are speakers of Tunisian Arabic. The south of the country is composed of the Sahara desert, with much of the remainder consisting of particularly fertile soil and 1,300 kilometres (810 mi) of coastline. Tunisia has a diverse economy, ranging from agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and petroleum products, to tourism.
