Namibia, also known as the Republic of Namibia, is a country in southern Africa. Namibia gained its independence from South Africa in 1990 after the Namibian War of Independence. The capital city is Windhoek. Namibia is home to one of the oldest coastal deserts in the world with extremely high sand dunes, which were created by the strong onshore winds. In these famous coastal deserts, you can find the most abundant source of diamonds on earth!
