I would push yourself out of your comfort zone and meet people outside of your program. When I did this, not only did I meet locals who I could practice the language with, but they told me all the best places in the city to explore. I thought that the overall educational experience was wonderful in my study abroad program. I loved the art history class that I took in Barcelona because there were a lot of field trips that complemented what we were studying in class. It is an experience you can rarely get anywhere else!
