This program is designed for students who have completed a minimum of five semesters of university-level language instruction in Spanish. Students interested in furthering their language skills, and in learning about Spain will find that this program provides an ideal option for students who seek a study abroad opportunity.

* Advance your Spanish language skills while living in a beautiful coastal city
* Enroll directly in Universidad de Alicante courses alongside Spanish students; live with a Spanish family; and join the conversational exchange: Intercambios
* Participate in diverse extracurricular activities and excursions in the Valencia region and Spain, and visits to museums, theaters, and other cultural sites
* Join the International Club at the Universidad de Alicante
* Receive support from CIEE Spanish Helpers—local University students

The courses I took through CIEE were fantastic. The teachers were so great, and the classes were a maximum of 7 students. We all formed relationships with the teachers and were really sad to leave them at the end of the semester. My study abroad experience was well worth it! I loved every minute of it. Although at times, I was challenged academically or learning new customs, I wouldn't change it for a second. I learned so much about the idea of home isn't where you live but it's rather the people and attitude you have.
