The start of something wonderful in Australia

A big thing I learned was to slow down (the US seems to be the only place that lives at such a fast pace). I learned what other people thought about my home country and now I'm very open to other opinions. This program was worth it! If someone likes smaller towns, small campus atmosphere, nature and the outdoors rather than city-life, they should go to the Bendigo campus of La Trobe and not the Bundoora Melbourne campus. Also, I was the only AustraLearn American student going to the Bendigo campus so if you go there you really get to know local Australians, rather than just hanging out with other Amer... view full review

Because I enjoy photography so much and have a lot of experience in the area, this program wasn't very oppressive in terms of work load. We did a lot of work and produced a lot of photographs, but my group was amazing and we all had so much fun together while enrolled in the class. SAVE MONEY. It was really the only issue I had. Plan where you want to travel before you go and make sure you plan to do them all otherwise you will get to the end of the semester and realize you havent done something you really wanted to do. view full review
