Homework is not a constant, your grade is mainly comprised your exams and some essays. Lectures are recommended but not required. Going to them will get you a better grade, but a passing grade is usually attainable without attending them. Tutorials and Labs are required, you cannot pass if you do not attend them. I think that the University of Waikato is often overlooked. Most students flock to Auckland or Wellington because it seems like the safer choice. Not only does Waikato offer similar types of programs than the other universities, it offers a peaceful and friendly neighborhood free from the hustle and bustle of busy city life. Being a Hmong Asian American while living in New Zealand was hard to teach and explain to everyone about my culture. Being from an ethnicity that doesn't have a home country is hard to explain. I loved every moment. The people were all amazing and everyone I met was so nice. I loved the university because even though it was more the twice the size of my university at home I never felt lost in the crowd. view full review
