The final exams were worth 60% of the total grade. Projects/writing assignments were worth 10-20%. Labs were 10%. other tests/quizes made up the rest. The class size was much larger than USM: 100-250 people sometimes. There were less presentations expected and it seemed much more test oriented. The amount of reading assigned was much more than at home. view full review

Australearn is a great study abroad program. They help you get started and help you along the way with other issues that may arise, but once you're in your host country you obviously have to take care of most problems by yourself. The independent student would benefit most from this type of program. view full review

The professors varied in quality, though none of them were bad. I thought the classes were tough in the sense that there were only two tests or so to base our grades off of. It was important to be on top of it, because there was very little official work (such as quizzes, routine tests, etc) to keep a person in line.
