I learned so much about the Renaissance and art, not to mention the Medici! I also enjoyed experiencing an other religious culture, although I still don't understand relics.

It was completely worthwhile. I had an amazing time and still after a year talk to my roommates. I learned about myself, others and immersed myself into a completely different culture. I was able to compare my home to my new home. I wouldn't take it back for anything.

Study abroad was a fantastic idea. Not only do you learn about other cultures, but you also learn a lot about yourself. How well you cope with unfamiliar situations, adapt to other people and cultures, and adjust yourself accordingly. It's a great opportunity to step outside of your "bubble" and experience a place you might otherwise never get to see.
